Tail Traders Kayak Services is a small, dedicated start-up with a big love for paddling and an even bigger commitment to giving kayaks a second life.

We understand the connection between paddler and kayak. That’s why we take pride in repairing what others might throw away. Every job we take on is handled with care, honesty, and craftsmanship. You fish the tide, we've got your ride!

Our Story

Our journey started in a backyard workshop, driven by frustration with the cost of replacements and the lack of local repair options. What began as a personal project soon became a calling, helping others get back on the water without breaking the bank.

From cracked hulls to small cosmetic fixes, we’ve seen it all, and we’re always learning, improving, and growing alongside our customers.

Meet the Founder
Tail Trader was founded by Trevor Marsden. He’s been surfing, fishing, and paddling since he was little, always drawn to the rhythm of the water. What started as a personal project became something more, a way to help others stay out there and doing what they love. One of his favorite quotes, from Chasing Mavericks, "Live like Jay" is a reminder to chase what moves you, stay grounded in what you love, and never stop showing up - especially when the water’s calling.

We’re proud to be a part of this community and to play a small role in keeping it out on the water. Thanks for paddling this journey with us.
